Designed and executed the identity for the CMX Summit, a leading conference focused on community building. My goal was to create a community-driven concept that made attendees feel like active contributors to the event's design.
Here’s how I approached the project:
Challenge:
Needed to craft a complete visual identity and marketing strategy that reflected the event's community focus, while also handling branding, website design, and all marketing assets—solo. The timeframe was tight, with just three weeks to get the website live and start selling tickets
Approach:
Engaged with the community by posting questions on the event’s Slack, gathering input that I transformed into “community tokens.” These tokens became a key design element, symbolizing attendee participation.I developed a cohesive mixed-media visual identity, incorporating familiar faces from the community to create a sense of connection and anticipation.I designed a wide array of assets, from the website and presentation slides to event merchandise, marketing materials, and video content. Every detail was aligned with the event’s inclusive and collaborative spirit.
Outcome:
The design enhanced the attendee experience at every stage, from ticket sales to the event itself. By emphasizing community contributions, I made sure participants felt personally invested in the success of the conference.
This project highlights my skills in strategic branding, rapid execution, and designing experiences that resonate deeply with audiences. It was an incredible opportunity to combine creativity with community collaboration!
